Diaoyu Islands' Dispute. Japan flexing its imperial muscles again?

Despite historical facts affirming the Chinese as the rightful owner of the Diaoyu Islands, the Japanese government had continue to flex its muscles over these disputed islands by claiming that these islands are theirs, of which they called Senkaku Islands.

Japan is again flexing its imperial muscles onto China after their Second World War defeat in 1945. What right does Japan has to claim that these islands belongs to them? Based on the history of their empire build up? Everyone knows, the Imperial Japanese Empire was built with blood, war and conquering using their military might and aggression against other countries.

So, does that mean those conquered territories belongs to them legally? No, certainly not. If they wish to claim that the Diaoyu Islands belongs to them, then they should also claim that most of the Asian continents belongs to them too, as Imperial Japan had once conquered this region before and during Second World War, of which includes many parts of China.

The present Japanese's claim over those islands has some political connections back in its homeland. The current ruling party, Democratic Party of Japan (DJP) is facing increasing pressure from its political circles, the opposition Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (LDP) to prove its "nationalistic value". Asides, the DJP is also face with defection by some of its members of parliament, where the LDP could take advantage at.

The DJP is now a minority government following defections of some of its leader to form another party and parliamentary bloc. In this case, the DJP government may collapse anytime if any situation, especially in terms of nationalism is not properly looked into. As such, the DJP leaders has decided to make island dispute in the East China Sea to drum up support from their homeland.

But in order to ensure their political survival at home, DJP had forgotten that they had also raise the eyes of their neighbouring countries on Japan's past war aggression, especially China, Korea, Taiwan and the Southeast Asian countries. The worst ever victim of the Japanese aggression, China has not heal and what make thing far worst now is Japan is trying to take some islands away from China.

Japan must remember that today's China is no more a "Sick Man of East Asia", which Japan had labelled China once. Today's China is currently an economic giant with a military might. Didn't Japan realise that in its constitution, it has officially renounced its military aggression over their neighbours? Has Japan also forgotten what they had done before are wrong and against humankind?

We urge Japan, especially its political leaders to wake up from their imperial dreams and face the reality of today's new world instead of sticking to their past glories full of war crimes.
