Is Umno encouraging political violence and threat?

We are very certain what the Penang Umno youth chief had previously quote, "There will be trouble, not from Umno, but we cannot control them". These are the word uttered by the said Umno leader in a press conference earlier at Penang after he received some rumours of a PKR leader who criticized the role of the security forces in handling the Sabah crisis.

As promised by the Umno youth chief, the trouble starts in a timely manner. Umno members and supporters started to run out of control, turned violent and began to issue life threatening messages onto the PKR leader in his number of ceramah series recently. We wonder if this is what the Umno youth chief had warned. It shows that Umno leaders are incapable of controlling their members and supporters for being too emotional when come to issues that touches their mind or whatsoever.

Will Umno leaders come out and sincerely admit that being party leaders, they had indeed failed to educate their party members and supporters on how to behave in civilized manner. Just look at news reports which were published earlier, showing pictures of all those Umno members and supporters yelling, shouting and making threatening statements by using jargons of violence and vulgarity in public.

And the other fact that is, when these Umno members and supporters gathered violently and threatening the said PKR leader all way round, have they ever applied for a permit as required under the Peaceful Assembly Act? Checks with the relevant authorities shows that all these gatherings, let us all acknowledge that they are violent protests are all illegal as they did not even bother to apply for permit prior to their protests.

So, why didn't the police act against all these violent protesters from Umno? Guess what the Georgetown OCPD ACP Gan Kong Meng had mentioned? He said the police could not make those arrests under the Peaceful Assembly Act. If those violent protests are being held illegally in order to threaten another person, why was those actions held liable under the Act? In accordance to the act, if they intend to stage a protest or to gather in public places, they should apply for the said permit which is stipulated under the Act.

In this case, based on which Section or Sub-Section of the Peaceful Assembly Act has ACP Gan referred to for confirming that he couldn't make any arrests under the said Act? Can ACP Gan please explain on that? It clearly shows that the police force and the Act itself are definitely double standard in such manner. The Act is only enforced onto those in the Opposition side and the citizens of Malaysia while the members, supporters and leaders from Umno and the ruling elites are being exempted from this law. It does not apply to all Umno members at all, is this what the law means?

BN and Umno can break the laws whenever they like it. Just like the one happened in Penang, the 1Malaysia flag and Najib Chinese New Year banner fiasco. When these flags and banners were taken down because of no permit being applied to install them, BN leaders would always claim that those flags and banners were not their and they "might have been put up by their supporters" and so on. This means BN leaders could not even control their members and supporters at large.

In this case, under BN or Umno, this country would be turned into chaos because they couldn't control their members and supporters who tend to be so emotional until it threaten the people with violence and bloodshed. Do we still want such political party to continue govern this nation? They allow their party law-breakers to roam freely on the streets to take on victims of their choice. Then the authorities would say that these actions were not covered under so many laws and therefore, they couldn't make any arrests.

This is blatant discrimination.
